Privacy Policy
A plain-language explanation of how this website handles your personal data.
Last updated: 28 August 2026
Who this policy covers
This website (the "Site") is run by Ioanna, an independent tutor providing Greek, English and GCSE Chemistry lessons. For the purposes of UK GDPR and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Ioanna is the "data controller" for any personal data collected through the Site.
You can contact Ioanna about privacy questions at ioannatsio18@gmail.com.
The short version
- This Site does not use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers of any kind.
- The contact form does not send your data to a server or any third party — it opens your own email app, and the message goes directly from your device to Ioanna's inbox.
- No account is created, and no data is stored in a database by this Site.
- Your data is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing.
What information is collected, and how
The contact form
If you fill in the contact form, it asks for your name, email address, the subject you're interested in, and an optional message. When you press submit, your browser opens your own email application with this information pre-filled, addressed to Ioanna. The Site itself does not receive, transmit, process, or store this information — it never touches a server. The email is sent directly by you, from your device, exactly as if you had written to ioannatsio18@gmail.com yourself.
Once that email arrives in Ioanna's inbox, it's kept for as long as reasonably needed to arrange and manage lessons, and is handled under the same privacy safeguards as any other personal email account.
Email and Instagram
If you email Ioanna directly or send a direct message on Instagram, that communication is governed by the privacy policy of the email or messaging provider you use (for Instagram, this is Meta's Privacy Policy), as well as this policy for how Ioanna handles the content of your message.
Website hosting
Like virtually all websites, the hosting provider for this Site may automatically log basic technical information for security and reliability purposes — such as IP address, browser type, and access times. This is standard web server behaviour, is not used to identify you personally, and is not accessed or used by Ioanna for any other purpose.
What this Site does not do
- It does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies.
- It does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other analytics or advertising tool.
- It does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
- It does not use automated decision-making or profiling.
Children and young people
Some visitors to this Site are under 18, including students aged 12 and up. If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian to send any enquiry on your behalf, or to be copied into it. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, please contact ioannatsio18@gmail.com and it will be deleted from Ioanna's records without delay.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, data protection law gives you a number of rights over your personal data, including the right to:
- ask what personal data is held about you;
- ask for inaccurate data to be corrected;
- ask for your data to be deleted;
- object to how your data is used; and
- complain to your national data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email ioannatsio18@gmail.com. Since the Site itself doesn't store your data, this will usually mean asking for a past email to be deleted from Ioanna's inbox.
Depending on where you live, you can also complain to your local data protection authority:
- United Kingdom: Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
- Greece: Hellenic Data Protection Authority
- Cyprus: Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes — for example, if the Site later adds a booking system, analytics, or other tools that process personal data — this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will change.
Contact
Questions about this policy or your personal data can be sent to ioannatsio18@gmail.com.
This policy describes this Site's actual data practices as accurately as possible, but it is general information, not legal advice. If this business grows to collect more data (for example, through a booking platform, payments, or a mailing list), a solicitor or qualified data protection advisor should review and update this policy accordingly.
